| How many of us started here? Spent a wonderful 3 months in Boot Camp here at USCG Base Alameda on Government Island. Now it is no longer Boot Camp! |  |
 | Now it is "United States Coast Guard Base Alameda." Now they are calling it Coast Guard Island. Looks more like Fantasy Island now, pretty fancy looking Ship's compared to the Old "255'S" in the then picture |

| How about this for gone but not forget, USCG Light Ship Columbia. How many times in the winter storms did we have to make an emergency run or service the Light Ship when Astoria's Bouy Tenders couldn't get out. Here is also is a picture of the Bouy that replaced it and now it has been replaced by a smaller and less costly one to run. | |
